Gift Wrapping Tips

Gift wrapping tips can be very helpful in streamlining the process of wrapping presents.

Usually as the holiday season approaches, I start saving the boxes from oatmeal, crackers, cookies, cereals, egg cartons, shoe boxes and wrapping paper tubes to use for gift wrapping.

After Christmas all these recycled boxes can be put in the recycling, and I don't feel like I have wasted a lot of packaging.

Companies often send ivory colored or brown paper crumpled in boxes they ship. Save and iron them. Combined with twine or red yarn, you will have a great country look.

For filler for gift boxes or bags, shred your used Christmas paper that is too wrinkled or torn for re-use as a wrap.

The Dollar Store is also a great place to look for gift bags, wrapping paper, tissue paper, and ribbon.

Use these gift wrapping tips to make your holiday preparation easier.

Gift Wrap for Kids

Use the Sunday comics to wrap a child's gift. Tie with a jump rope, or Chinese jump rope. For decoration you can add a set of jacks, sidewalk chalk, small car or squirt gun from the Dollar Store.

Or wrap in newspaper and write their name all over it with a bright colored marker.

Or put colorful stickers from the Dollar store all over it.

Brown Paper Package

I love this brown paper package and the finished look. The tags with old stamps on them are perfect, too.
