Gift Wrapping Techniques

Learn gift wrapping techniques to make your gifts stand out. They are easy to learn.

Find a box or container that is the right size for your gift.

Determine whether you will need to add padding (if it's fragile) or stuffing (if the gift fits too loosely).

Stuffing can be extra tissue paper crumpled, or shredded used wrapping paper or bubble wrap. Or it could be a new hand towel or wash cloth.

Gather all your materials: scissors, tape, ribbon or string, wrapping paper, and padding or stuffing.

To figure out what size paper to use, wrap a piece of string around your package and add 2 or 2 1/2 inches. Do this in each direction.
